On Saturday night curious civilians, press, and government candidates showed up to watch as SWAT rolled up to Shadowcade. Believing a raid to be in progress, camera operators and photographers swarmed for the best vantage point (landing one individual in the hospital after falling from a billboard). It was a rare treat to have Weazel News, Big Camera Content, and Los Santos Diatribes all at one scene!

But, how can you have a watch party without any cake? You can’t.

Thankfully, Caked Up rolled to the rescue, bringing their food truck and enough sweets to satisfy the taste buds of the curious and the press alike. The party was properly sated, enjoying their desserts while waiting to see if Shadowcade was being handed their own just desserts by the SWAT team and officers on scene.

Within minutes (and one ambulance later), SWAT departed and cameras were lowered. Hudson Welsh, the proprietor and owner of Shadowcade, crossed the street to address the remaining onlookers to thank them for coming, explaining how the police were looking for suppressors.

While we don’t know if anything was in fact taken during the raid, as law enforcement was quick to disperse without comment, Hudson’s calm and cheerful demeanor left few doubts that there was anything to worry about, and that Shadowcade was in great shape.

Hudson then announced that Shadowcade was opening, taking advantage of the attention to draw in sales for longboards, trading cards, and suppressors in a Post-Raid Sale, even stating a new shot “The Suppressor” would soon be on the menu.

For tonight, there were two places to be in Los Santos: The Raid, or the Rave.
